NOVEL METHODS FOR CHARACTERIZING INTUMESCENT POLYMERIC MATERIALS UPON BURNING

Résumé

Novel methods of characterization of intumescence are proposed: (i) the measurement of surface temperature of an intumescent char in fire and (ii) the calculation of the fractal dimension of intumescent char to parametrize its morphology.
