Disclosed is a method for the oxidation of an alcohol comprising contacting the alcohol with O 2 in the presence of a catalyst. Furthermore disclosed is the use of free metallic ruthenium nanoparticles as catalyst for the oxidation of an alcohol with O 2. Additionally, disclosed is a method of preparing metallic ruthenium nanoparticles of controllable size.
L'invention concerne un procédé d'oxydation d'un alcool consistant à mettre en contact un alcool avec du O 2 en présence d'un catalyseur. L'invention concerne en outre l'utilisation de nanoparticules de ruthénium métalliques libres en tant que catalyseur pour l'oxydation d'un alcool avec O 2. De plus, l'invention concerne un procédé de préparation de nanoparticules métalliques de ruthénium de taille apte à être contrôlée.
