Internet Gaming Disorder Scale--20; French Version
Résumé
The Internet Gaming Disorder Scale--20; French Version (Plessis et al., 2021) is a French adaptation of the Internet Gaming Disorder Scale--20 (IGD-20; Pontes et al., 2014)—a 20-item assessment based on the six components model of addiction from Griffiths (2005) that measures internet gaming disorder (IGD) via a focus on DSM-5 (American Psychiatric Association, 2013) suggested criteria. The translation of the 20 items from English to French was carried out according to the recommendations of Vallerand (1989) using the method of two inverted parallel translations. Psychometric evaluation was then carried out in a French sample of online video game players were recruited on specialized forums, playing 21.9 hours per week. Findings concerning the French IGD-20's factor structure, reliability and validity were reported.
