Periodontal surgery related to alveolar bone reconstruction for implant insertion

Résumé

The surgical augmentation of peri implant soft tissue may be beneficial insofar as it increases both the thickness and width of the keratinized attached gingiva, as well as enhancing the aesthetic outcome of implant therapy. The aim of this chapter is to describe and illustrate the treatments of four patients, in order to highlight the use of pedicled flaps, an epithelio-connective graft, and a sub–epithelial connective tissue graft in the re-establishment of normal tissue volume and contour around dental implants.
