Bienvenidos al Norte. Explotación de la nueva emigración española en el corazón logístico de Europa
Résumé
This study is the continuation of the one carried out by members of this team in 2017 and which Fundación 1º de Mayo published in its collection of Studies1. Following that first publication, based on field work carried out in the Netherlands in February of the same year,
numerous and diverse reactions aroused by administrations, media of communication, companies and workers. This interest and the new information that we were collecting in this exchange led us to propose a research project of greater scope and with a larger team that constitutes the basis for the publication of this second study2. In this new post, we look at real living and working conditions of the new Spanish emigrants in Central Europe, but we also provide data and reflections to understand the territorial imbalances of the European productive model that has been outlined since the 1990s. In other words, the new model that stands out after the relocation of part of the industrial fabric based in southern countries to new countries community and non-community emergents, and which is much more clearly visible to after the economic crisis of 2007.
