Aux frontières de l’intime au sein d’une famille éclatée
Résumé
How can intimacy contribute to the construction of the self? Based on a clinical case of an adolescent female suffering from addictions, the authors show how breaking into one’s intimacy in childhood can hinder the process of subjectivation. They address the issue of how therapeutic work within an institutional setting can appropriately correct the absence of the ego delimitation and of the self’s legitimation generally characteristic of a borderline functioning. Three areas of exploration are proposed in this article: the dynamics of symptoms, the role of the body and the role of the third party as safeguard of desire and a witness to a newfound intimacy.
En quoi l’intimité peut-elle participer à la construction du self du sujet ? Sur la base d’un cas clinique d’une adolescente souffrant d’addictions, les auteurs montrent comment l’effraction de l’intimité dans l’enfance peut entraver le processus de subjectivation. Ils s’intéressent à la façon dont le travail thérapeutique au sein d’une institution peut apporter une réponse adaptée à l’absence de délimitations du moi et de légitimation du self chez un fonctionnement limite. Trois axes de travail sont ici proposés : la dynamique des symptômes, la fonction du corps et enfin la place du tiers comme garant du désir et témoin d’une intimité retrouvée.
