Ambiguity in Gaga: The Invention of a New Somatic Movement Language, Fueling Choreography

Somatic intelligence, and the communication of what is gained from it, emerges only from a dedicated investment. In order to understand this intelligence, and any potential ambiguity it may imply, researchers, especially in arts studies, must harness observation, feeling, sensing, and reading, as tools towards knowledge creation. In regard to that, some of the choreography phrases which have been studied here, have also been experienced through embodiment process.
L’intelligence somatique, et la communication de ce qui en découle, n’émerge que d’un investissement dédié. Afin de comprendre cette intelligence et toute ambiguïté potentielle qu’elle peut impliquer, les chercheurs, en particulier en études artistiques, doivent exploiter l’observation, le ressenti, la perception et la lecture comme outils de création de connaissances. À cet égard, certaines des phrases chorégraphiques étudiées ici ont également été vécues à travers un processus d’incarnation.
