Immunosuppressants as steroid-sparing agents for chronic DRESS: four cases.

Résumé

DRESS (drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms) is a severe drug reaction characterized by skin and organ involvement and viral (HHV6, EBV, CMV) replication. The severity of affected organs in the acute phase guides the treatment choice between high-potent topical steroids (TS) and systemic steroids (SS), which must be tapered slowly [1-3].
