The production of 1,3-butadiene from bio-1-butanol over Re-W/α-Al2O3 porous ceramic converter
Résumé
A new two-step dehydration-dehydrogenation catalytic process for the production of 1,3-butadiene from bio-1-butanol has been developed. The process was based on elaborated γ-Al2O3 granular converter followed by Re-W/α-Al2O3 ceramic catalytic converter prepared using self-propagating high-temperature and alkoxo syntheses methods. The result obtained (30% selectivity in 1,3-butadiene at 500 °C) is considered better when compared to similar processes conducted in chemical industry. It was also shown that during ~ 10 h on reaction stream no decrease in catalytic activity was observed as opposed to other chemical industrial methods, where regeneration of the catalyst takes place every 8–15 min.
