First direct α-allylation of carbonyl compounds using ruthenium catalysts
Résumé
Direct α-allylation of aldehydes and ketones have been carried out with allyl alcohol or diallylether in the presence of the ruthenium catalyst RuCp(PPh3)2OTs. The presence of PTSA appeared necessary to prevent isomerization of allyl alcohol into propanal. A large variety of aldehydes and ketones could be allylated in those conditions with high yields.
